A 1996 car will definitely come with an immobiliser. You may be able to swap the barrel over and retain the immobiliser loop which goes around it.

You're right, they're not for a Coupe.

That's the controller for the idle. Sounds like it's operating outside it's normal range so it can't regulate.

Are you able to measure the current draw on the circuit ?

It was worth a try with the csv. It eliminates it as a possible problem. Harder to start and still running like a dog from cold - do you have the facilities to measure the fuel pressures ?

H & R are one of the better spring manufacturers. Others are PI and Eibach. Not sure if PI are still going.

I'd be very careful with those shocks as it claims B2 and 83-89.

30-40mm drop on a Coupe will be fine. It's 60mm and higher drops that can lead to problems.

I tend to keep my cars standard so can't recommend any one brand over another.

none of them last long. 3-5 years is typical, sometimes less.

I've yet to see favourable reviews of Meyle products
