Does sound like the ariel has a fault but apart from finding away to install an external ariel cant think of an easy option.

Two screws either end of the door card at the top, remove them and pull up, that is it

Are you talking about the CV or the boot?

Hope your car doesn't pull my ones stunt which is that it learnt the new key fob but wont work with it. Told by Audi they will have to take the dash out to investigate. A £600 starting price Shocked

Just a warning. The Moly grease gets everywhere, on seems to take a drop of it.
If you are sure no grit got in when the boot was split you can add a little more grease before finally clamping on the ...
