Headlights range control problem

Hi, I just moved to UK from Denmark, brought my 2007 Audi Q7 4.2 FSI with me, trying to register it here with DVLA, but its really difficult process.. has anyone tried a similar thing? (importing, certifying, MOT'ing, set the car UK mode, insure in UK etc etc) ?

I tried to get it MOT'ed at Audi I gloucester, but it failed. the headlights wont beam correct to pass. And they already did change the setting to tourist/holiday mode (they should automatically adjust), but didnt, Audi tell me the lights are defective and need to be replaced..! although they seem to work fine in non-UK mode. But I keep getting the error now. And a new set of lights are almost 1500 GBP..

If I have to get new headlights, I was thinking of upgrading the to new LED style, has anyone tried that ? and would those be even harder to pass in MOT test ?
any idea where to get help with all this and where buy style parts (used is ok for me) ?

For used, EBay may be your best bet.

It will cost you more to insure if it's LHD, but the specialists who support the site should be able to help (among others)

As for the newer style lights- can't advise you on that.. (sorry)
