My gauge is behaving badly. How does one `reset` or calibrate so it is reliable again? Thanks. Crying or Very sad

It is the last quarter, haven't run dry yet but has given me a fright a few times. If it is the sender, is it close to the pump? Shocked

Pretty sure its in the boot. There should be an access panel behind the backseat drivers side. Pull back the carpet, and you should see it. Not sure if you car would be same as my FWD 2.3E Sedan. The sender is in the tank. Smile
