Try and get Lemforder or Boge.
They're cheap though and don't last that long |

none of them last long. 3-5 years is typical, sometimes less.
I've yet to see favourable reviews of Meyle products
Those lemforder ones are correct |

30-40mm drop on a Coupe will be fine. It's 60mm and higher drops that can lead to problems.
I tend to keep my cars standard so can't recommend any one brand over another.
I'm not familiar with ST |

For oem, it will be dealer only. Most likely obsolete or difficult to get.
you can normally get Sachs / Boge shocks and keep the standard springs. unless the miles are sky high, the springs will likely still be good
For that kind of money, I'd suggest Koni or Bilstein - German suppliers will be your best bet |

I used ones made by Topran. All seems well after 10,000 miles. |

Hey Mikes2.
You said , I tend to keep my cars standard so can't recommend any one brand over another.
What springs have you found so you can keep the same ride height ? |

I fitted genuine front and rear springs to my 90q 20v sport when I overhauled the suspension. 5 years ago for the front and 4 years for the rear. car was on 265k miles in 2012 so the originals had a decent innings.
Fronts were air con versions as standard were not available. They've settled fine and you'd be really hard pushed to see the difference. |
