Hi, I'm new in the A6 side but have been a member of Audifans for quite some time as having owned a few 80's over the years!
Ok problem I have is I have a 2008 A6 Avant 2.0Tdi Ltd Edition with the 7 speed auto box with flappy paddles that has covered 118k miles, now over the last few months I noticed a metallic clunk on turning the engine off when warm, I was putting it down to maybe the rear gearbox mounting, however on Sunday I started the car and I had a clattering noise which was there until I revved the engine up, however when releasing the throttle it came back again, further investigation was that the clattering was coming from the rear of the engine towards the bell housing, would I be right in saying the 7speed auto runs a dmf? If so how hard a job is it to do?
