I have a mate in Ireland. He rang me the other day in a really bad mood.
The 'authoritys' have just decided to make window tinting illegal!!!.
So if you have ANY windows tinted, you fail M.O.T. (factory tint excepted)
As he had just paid a considerable amount to have this done profesionally 3 months ago, he was understandaby pi**ed off. He had only done the sides. Screen and rear had been left clear. But 'oh no'. This is not allowed!

Is this a sign of things to come??....I expect so. Angry
You must not go around being an 'individual'. Free expression is not permitted.

Can anyone add to this?

Si.

As far as I can tell Ben, this regulation has come into effect in Ireland ONLY....so far.
But these things tend to spread. If the government can hammer motorists on something, they will.

Don`t be so sure its ireland only, the police in this country have now got a gizmo to check the amount of light entering through the glass. They can then tell you to remove the film from the glass in 14 days if it is deemed too dark.
