I have located a site called Euro Car Parts, they quote a price for rear discs and pads at a fraction of the price quoted by National Tyres eg:

Rear brake Pads = £14-14: National = £64
Rear dics = £11-16:National = £136

As you can see a massive difference, even if the national price includes fitting?

As anybody used Euro Car Parts?

i have used euro car parts, and like most motor factors they have sent me the wrong parts on many occasion. make sure when you order from them you give them every possible detail about the car, so that when they do get the order wrong you can make sure its their fault. take down whoever you are talking too. in terms of the goods i have had everything from brake disks for a 90 quattro to air filter for a a4 2.8 quattro and everything has been fine. though mintex pads for a4s in my experience even with copper grease tend to squeal(tad irrelevant but there you go)

Based purely on my own experience I do not use them unless I can't get the part from elsewhere. I have only used them three times and they got my order wrong three times. This was despite giving them the correct part numbers and getting the guy to repeat them back to make sure he'd heard it correctly.

I mainly use vagparts (www.vagparts.com) as they are geniune parts at cheaper than dealer prices.

German and swedish are OK (www.gsfcarparts.com) and if you are in the Audi Owners Club, Paul Found is good adn I have heard 4ring spares are OK too.

Very Happy Thanks for your reply. I used GSF. Had no problems with them. Just wish I'd known about the discount.........next time.
