Right, I have 2 cabs, one's green, one's yellow, I was quite happily driving around in the green one until.... The clutch went. £350 for a new one. And the brake accumulator went. And the Exhaust went. And the heater matrix went.

I currently have it jacked up with no drivers side driveshaft (needed for yellow) and the roof taken off (also needed for yellow but not yet fitted).

Now I am a big cabrio fan, I have now owned 4. I can't break it. I just can't bring myself to break it for parts. I had too much fun in this car. The bodywork is as spotless as you will get on a 15 year old, it's got all new brake disks n pads (which won't fit yellow anyway) a new power steering pump, well over 500 on the bodywork spent and the last time I drove it to it's current resting place, it drives like a dream.

So now I am going to try fixing it up, so that come winter I can drive green, and get on with project "yellow to red".

My reckoning is to get the number of parts I need cheap it's going to be better to find a 2.6 Coupe/80 that's fit for scrap with these parts good. Either that or does anyone know where I can get a good brake accumulator on the cheap or get it refurbished? Are the brake accumulators all the same? I have a scrappy nearby with a 1.8...

Next problem is the drivers window. It disney work. I reckon it's just the brushes in the motor, are these easily replaced?

The clutch I got from eurocarparts and cost £145. Cheap but I hope not regrettable!

So ETKA reckons the brake accumulator part is shared, 4A0 612 061 D between all the late model cars. Off to the scrapyard to see what nick it's in...

There's some A4's at the scrappy too, but they don't look like they have the accumulator according to ETKA...
