Hi all,
Its been a while since I've been on here..
I had and Audi A4 before & then dare I say it, defected to the VW scene,, woops!
Well im coming back to good old Audi's again & this time after something a bit different as such.

I travel about 40 miles a day to work and back, so a diesel is 1st choice.
I like the look of the S line range and the sports look alright Too.

I see there is a face lift model with a larger grill, which looks cool.

I got about £5k to £6k budget..

Id really like a black A3 sline TDI,, thoughts?

Anything to look out for?

what year did the face lift change?

Cheers All

Steve

About 4 months ago we replaced the wife's '99 1.6SE 2dr with an 07 4dr 2.0 TDI sport back S line.

She does a 40 mile commute as well and has had no real issues. They are just a very capable car. There are a few around but condition and mileage vary like mad. We ended up getting a lower mileage model in good condition and paid a bit extra for it.
2 Issues 18" tyres are expensive and make the ride a bit jarring. She has had my spare 16" winter tyres on for the last 2 months and she says she would prefer it if it has higher profile tyres on all the time. OS will probably look at 16" or 17" and then store the 18" for when we sell the car.
The rear wash wipe packed up and took out the fog light logic so £70 for a valeo rear wash wipe and 10 mins on Vag com to re set the fog lights.

At your budget you won't get under 100K unless its a bit messy look at adding another grand and the options open up.

Takes 2 pushchairs and crap with easy. Rear view for reversing means you use the mirrors more.

We would buy another again
