My 1995 audi cabriolet has been cutting in and out intermittently for the past few months and I really can't find the problem or know where to start looking, sometimes it'll drive for 30-45 minutes with no problems but sometimes I can be driving for 5 minutes and it will cut out but start again straight away I have had the codes read and I'm getting p1570 01176, I've spoken to an immobiliser specialist and he's convinced it's no the immobiliser but it's driving me mad, we've had such nice nice weather recently but been scared to drive it incase it cuts out any help would be much appreciated.

There's a way to bypass the immobiliser by running a cable from the battery to the fuse box, but I'm not sure which fuse it was. It's worth a search on here as I'm sure I read about that trick here! It will get the car running if you are stuck and also confirm if this is where the problem is.

From my own experience, if you do have an immobiliser problem, it's big £££ to get it sorted Sad Needs all sort of key coding etc unless it just gets bypassed.

Did you have to take much out the arches or liners to get those 18s on it with it so low?
