Hi Guys,
It's me with stoopid questions again.
Is it possible to convert a cabriolet (mine) to 4wd? as far as i can tell pretty much everything under neath is the same appart from the rear diff and suspension. It looks like i have the room to add the shaft to the rear so i was wondering if the chassy's were all the same and audi just added bits.
also does anyone fancy working on my car with me this weekend? lol i need to check this clunck out before the front of the car falls off |

Ahhh don't go down this route, it's massive money. I was looking at making an S2 Cabriolet (as someone else has done one) but it would be cheaper to buy an S2 and turn it into a cabrio. You have to cut pretty much most of the floor pan out to fit the prop/diff etc.... Then the list just gets bigger and bigger.

converting any audi/car to S2 spec is going to cost you £5k minimum
and the cab will be alot heavier than a S2, pointless other than a demo/show car
as said 4x4 and cabs dont go without lots of money |

lmao .... good point .... sad to say but even though i spent a fortune on that thing it was still better than the audi ..... the previous 10 owners of the audi must have not liked it at all lol .... once the golf's on the road i'll be happy |

rich, are you going to audi driver international??
castle combe is quite near you isn't it??
what is this clunk? still the same one from the other day? someone at combe may be able to help you, always hard to diagnose these things over the pc....
get it up to scratch (if you can) and sell it and get yourself an S2 |
