While clearing out the garage, I found various spares that I no longer need. Free to anyone arranging collection from the Reading area.
See my post in the 'Parts For Sale' section. Ian. |

A good question.
It was a while ago and I no longer have the car, but 128 degree C sounds familiar: https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/128c-thermal-fuse-ra15r If you do have a go at fixing it yourself, ho ... |

Hi Pastit,
I don't have a heater resistor, but I did have mine fail. The fault turned out to be the thermal fuse soldered to the resistor assembly. A cheap replacement from Maplin https://www.maplin. ... |

Depends what you mean by 'big'.
I presume this is the 10 valve NG engine, rather than the 20v 7A. You need to do everything that you would do to change the cambelt, plus remove the cam cover and ... |

It's a while since I sold the 2.3, but that does look like the Lambda/O2 connection.
IIRC, that 2 pin plug is the heater circuit - the green wire is the actual O2 signal. Ian. |

The heater motor has a small resistor *pack* associated with it. Each of the lower speeds has a different value resistor to drop a different amount of voltage.
If only the 'flat out' speed works, it ... |

Personally, I'd start by checking the fuses. If they are OK the next test would be the X-relay, also known as the relief relay. It's energised when the ignition is on, but drops out when cranking. It ... | |

The O2 sensor doesn't produce a signal until the exhaust warms up, so I doubt that (or the head coolant sensor) is the problem.

If it has 6 points, it's a standard Tor-X 'tamperproof' security bit - most on-line tool shops sell them.
If it has 5 points, it is rather rarer - try these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Silverhill-Point ... |
