What was the reason for pulling the head off Andrew? If it was just to check and make sure all the valves and pistons were Ok you should be Ok just bolting it back on with a new gasket and tightening ...

Gary run a permanent link wire across the fuses, you'll probably find that the feed wire to the fuse has now completely broken
