injector failed? valve or Tappet could be lots of things, hows everything ,oil coolant, fuel, plugs, leads, just wild guesses without more info and checks, anything played up or replaced recently.

i think the manufacturers fine tune the shocks/springs and aftermarket make an all rounder

do you know what colour yours is marked with? my etka lists two types for AEL, sport yellow mark b 4A0 513 031D, or white ,std?, b 4a9 513 031C, hth.

all the internal stuff yes, most engine hardware wont matter, but all the piping and fittings will have to be for the LHD, so you need a LHD same engine and close year match for a retro fit,

i found the fuel filter bolts needed another tighten when i did mine, normal open ended spanners are just about ok, flare nut spanners make it easier . think the torque spec is 25 - 30 nm

i am guessing but i think the air con system must be the same in the 80 saloon and coupe for the same year, you will just have to look for a 2.3l to get what you want.

there are only three things it can be, the bomb, the hydrualic servo or the pas/hydrualic system pump, assuming the calipers and hydro pipes are fine. maybe the switch/sensor for the brake/hydro press ...
