I have fitted an R Click kit to my '95 C4.
Kit Reference KE669.

I made the connections at the driver's kick panel as I needed access to the wire from the driver's door switch and the indicator wires. It also means that the aerial wire to the controller is mounted higher on the car for possible better range compared to being buried beneath the back seat. I placed the flashing blue led on the RH side of the dash.
The signal wire to the controller from the switch is either Brown/Yellow or Green/Yellow (can't remember which).
Indicators left and right are Black/White and Black/Green.
Power and earth can be found on the terminals beneath the relay block.
I did not wire in the total closure as the door switch does not activate it. You would need the signal wire from the driver's door lock instead.

Make sure you ordered the correct key blanks for the key fob.

I forgot to mention that my A6 is the IR system, not Radio.

PLEASE DO NOT USE SCOTCHLOKS or you will have problems within months!
The mention of those damn things makes me shudder.
I soldered my wires into the Audi loom and used some amalgamating tape to keep 'em happy.
If you don't find the wiring colours I mentioned let me know and I'll pull my trim panels off and triple check.

regards, 5cylinderman

Slice a small 10mm bit of insulation away.
Poke a small pointy object through the copper wire so that you can feed a small bit of the new wiring through it. Give it a little twist then solder it.
If you want to use the S*********s they will work but they are not great in the long term IMHO.

scotch locks are very heath robinson, but they usually work ok where wires are not exposed to the elements. or in areas that wiring isn't moved about or disturbed much..

I too prefer the solder method, usually I cut the wire I want to join to strip the insulation on all three ends and twist join the new wire together in parallel then twist rejoin the original, using heat shrink tubing on the wire to seal / protect

right chaps still a couple of questions, im over thinking this maybe just cant get my head on straight this morning. nothing to do with the whisky last nite i promise.

the kit shows a lock signal and an unlock signal, are these going to two different wires or both going to same 'signal' wire? Sad im all confuddled. i know im an idiot, has any got a fool proof idiots guide, sorry for not seeing when its probably right infront of my nose

anyone know which wires im looking for then? im properly flummoxed. ive got the power all connected up, the unit works thank god lol but i do not know which wires to connect up. im doing this under the seat for ease of fitment. looking at the wiring diagrams for the drivers switch there is only one wire coming from the switch in the door to the central locking control unit.

whats all that about surely there should be two? switch b88 is labeled as central locking signla sensor and this has two wires from it to the pump...

Looking at the diagram that does appear to be the case, which doesnt make a lot of sense. I think i looked at the diagram, went "uhhhh?" and just probed it when i wired mine up. If the rain stops for a minute i'll go lift the back seat and see what ive connected it to. Mine doesnt work 100% thou, not sure if its the scotchlocks or the wiring.

cheers dude. what about it doesnt work? yeh ive even looked in the door there is a brown wire (inside door this is) and a red blue wire goign to the lock mechanism.... dont see how an earth and one signal wire can do it all.... really really confused. someone should bring out plug and play inferace like stereos! lol mind you that would be no fun would it now?!

Mine sometimes wont unlock, it locks reliably but sometimes if youve left it for a while, it just turns the interior lights on without unlocking the doors. Going to try flicking the switch that adjusts the duration of the pulse.

Its finally stopped raining Smile I have connected it up as the following:

Yellow and Yellow/Black - earth
White (closing signal) - brown/grey on the black plug on the pump
White/Black (opening signal) - brown/green on black plug on the pump.

To check that yours is the same, unplug the black plug from the pump, stick a continuity tester between the brown/green pin and check that it beeps when you unlock the drivers door, then do the same with the brown/grey pin and check that it beeps when you lock the drivers door.

Edit: you need to set the unit to do a double pulse using the jumper on the side. Ive set mine to do a 3.5s pulse to try and cure my unlocking problems.

brilliant cheers buddy those were the two i was down too. so your having trouble unlocking? hmm thats weird but locking is great everytime? might just be a funny connection. or could it be the wrong wire? nah because it wouldnt work at all would it? cool ill go back down to work tomorrow and solder them in properly, ive used scotch locks of the thicker constant power wires, ive used the positive and negative on the pump, its a contant as checked with a test lamp.

your a star ill give it a go. theres not a great deal or length to play with though so will be a bugger to do but once its done its done fingers crossed. the indicators under the seat will they operate all three on each side or just the rears? sorry for all the questions. that wiring diagram plus taking the door card off just confused the bejesus out of me.
