Hello.

I should be picking up my B6 S4 later this week. Cool

It's currently got private plates on it which I want to remove and sell on ASAP.

I already have a quote from regtransfers.co.uk but are there any other sites/companies that people would recommend?

Also, as I understand it, the process is:
- Fill in the form and pay the DVLA £105 to keep the private plate on retention so that I can sell it.
- The DVLA send me the car's original plates (or an equivalent if they've been used elsewhere).
- I sell the private plates and fit the originals.

Am I missing anything?

Cheers. Very Happy

Sounds about right there, although...£105? I though it was less than that, maybe behind the times but i thought i paid £80 last year, although don't quote me on that. If you keep it on retention then it will also cost a yearly fee which i 'think' is around the £25 mark, but the first fee... £80/£105? should include that.

depends on how long u want to put the plate on retention for as to what they will charge you, its probably gone up in price but yes its is or was £80 for one year.

Thanks. Smile

I think it's £105 to keep it on retention for a year (which is the minimum).

I don't want the plates at all but the car comes with them so I'm looking to get rid as soon as possible and get as much as I can for them.

try ebay since you've got an idea of what regtransfers are willing to pay, hike a bit on that and see where it goes from there
