Hi, I'm a newbie with a '92 2.0 100E avant living just west of Salisbury.
Can somebody tell me what later alloys fit my 5 stud fittings and what offset/stud size do I have presently?
I need to change my instrument panel as the dial faces are lifting, I presently have the basic panel but if I find one with the additional instruments is the wiring already there or do I have to instal new wiring ?
My steering wheel is knackered, what pre air bag ones fit, are A6/4/8 onescompatible ? |

Hello, in terms of what wheels you currently have if they are Audi wheels quite often the size and offset is stamped on them somewhere, usually hidden behind the nut covers or somewhere obscure.
You could try this website:
http://igorweb.org/equidec/Default.aspx
And put in all you option codes from the rear boot panel sticker or the sticker inside your service book that list all the option codes.
These codes also include standard equipment and quite often one of them will specify the original wheel fitment and size.
You can then go to another website, the names I don't know, but google it or bing it! and then see what wheels will be compatible without changing the overall wheel and tyre diameter etc...
I think there are links in some project threads about assessing other wheel fitments... |

Not sure about the other bits and bobs but if you have a drooping headliner it is a fairly difficult job to sort out properly.
Depending on how confident you are you will need to remove all trim from the sides that meets the roof somehow and refit or stretch, it all depends why it has drooped!
You could get a pro to re do it but it si going to be fairly expensive.
I dont think there are any easy fixes though |

There should be a white sticker about 4 inches by 3 ish usually somewhere stuck in the boot. It could be under the carpet near the spare wheel, or it could be stuck on the reverse of any moveable carpet sections in the boot.
The location can vary, but it shouldnt be too hard to spot if it is there in the boot! |

Just checked mine an A6 estate (1997) and it is stuck to the reverse side of the carpet/card section that covers the spare wheel... |

No sticker in my car !
Somebody told me that all Audi stud sizes are 112 mm, somebody else 100mm. I just need to know the standard stud sizes and offset on a 100E 2.0 avant ? |

the size wheels and tyres u really want are 16inch the wheel stud pattern is pcd 112 used on most audis, the offset is 45 and 7j. all a4/a6 wheels will fit. its the old a3 that have pcd of 100 ....a8 have a different offset...the tyres to go with 16s is 205 55 16 ....try a set of 16 inch quattro alloys also known as competition alloys |

Hi mate and welcome! Sizes you need to know:
Make : Audi
Model : 100
Year : 90 to 94
PCD : 5x112
Offset : 35 to 45
Bore : 57.1
Fittings : B 14x1.5
Audi/VW: Golf/A3/TT - PCD 5x100 - won't fit yours
Audi/VW: Passat/A4/A6/100/A8 - PCD 5x100 - will fit yours, but check offsets!
(Please beware though that over the years some cars have changed PCD e.g. Passat & Golf are 4 stud on older models and are now 5 stud, so check properly first before you decide to buy anything!)
Use this website, put your car details or any other car details in the top left corner then it will tell you at the top of the page what the wheel spec is HTH:
http://www.alloywheels.com/search.asp?numrecordposition=1&strSize=all&strkeywords=5x112%20et35,5x112%20et37,5x112%20et38,5x112%20et40,5x112%20et42,5x112%20et45,5x112/57-1%20et35,5x112/57-1%20et38,5x112/57-1%20et40,5x112/57-1%20et42,5x112/57-1%20et45&strSort=Low&Make=Audi&Model=100
I'm not too sure about the other questions you have, but the steering wheel will have to come from another Audi of the same generation and even then you will need to check. Newer A6/A8 etc won't fit as far as i know. This company is definately worth keeping in your diary for parts/spares and advice etc. They pretty mauch have anything for our Audi 100's, but you will need to call them:
