Sorry I confused it a bit.
If you have already given me your contact details, don't worry about sending them again. I have forwarded them on to Jo Everett who is managing it all. The above is purely for those new to the thread. The invite will ask you to confirm what you want on the day but I have already passed on the confirmations given by those so far |

Just been catching up with my emails and it looks like we have some decent things happening at this event.
In the next few day's I will completely update this thread with a full invite write-up to cover everything. For those that have already expressed an interest and given me some details already, if you can give Jo the details you've not already provided, you can then sit back and wait for your invite to arrive |

Letter from Tonbridge Audi received yesterday.
@Crouchie:
Do we still need to email the woman at Tonbridge with the details etc? Or have you already passed them on?
Cheers. |

Glad the letters arrived with everyone ok
If you have already been able to supply me with all the details requested in the letter, then there is no need to respond back to Jo. Those that have pm'd me and emailed me already with their requests, have got their details lodged with Jo. If there is anything that has perhaps been forgotten or not passed on, it might be worth firing of an email to make sure you get everything that you want. I think the only thing that I hadn't mentioned properly was the concourse event? Might be calling it Show n Shine
Trying to work out the prizes but one of them will definately be up to 18 months free subscription to the AOC (Potentially worth £45) and a professional valet kit that Audi use for the final inspection before the customer picks up their new Audi
I'll see what else can be thrown in too |

@ Crouchie
OK, cool.
I'll drop her an email as the PM I sent you didn't have all the details she's asking for.
Cool.
I've also put my name down for the 'show n shine'. I've never entered anything like this before, so this'll be interesting... is this the sort of thing where they check under the bonnet to make sure you've still got all factory applied stickers etc etc...??
Or is it just the cleanliness/shineyness of the paint/chrome/interior etc?
@saladdodger
That really blows if you're going to miss this day chap.
Hope it's nothing serious; and hope you get well soon.
Cheers. |

We had a guy come down from RS246 with his C5 RS6 Saloon, it looked fantastic and went like a bat out of Hell, but with out the shouting! Amazing car and even though he didn't fully prep it for the show it should have won. It was beaten by a series 2 coupe quattro! Neither car could be considered the same as when they left the factory. The competition is judged by one of the master tech's at Tonbridge so anything goes really! |

can be serious if not dealt with regular treatment, treatment might fall on this weekend.
i thought about the show and shine: if it was cleanliness for an old car i might have a chance but everytime i wash my car i see marks, i found a scuff i didnt see at first, the paint is chipping off slightly |

I have just had the update list sent to me and it show's that both Marc & Andy were sent the letters. For some reason there is no info for what you guy's want on the day? I could have sworn that i forward them on?
It might be better if you emailed Jo direct?
Here is the official letter that got sent out:
Quote: | Tonbridge Audi are once again opening their doors to the Audi Owners Club on Saturday 17th September 2011 from 9.30am and invite you to this exciting event.
Following on from last year’s successful day, why not return once again and take advantage of a free Electronic Vehicle Health Check? As you are probably aware, this is the most advanced method of checking the important working condition of your Audi and it’s not only quick but also extremely accurate. The process will report and assess brakes, tyres, exhaust, suspension, steering, electrical and technical and be carried out by a highly qualified Audi Technician who will also be willing to answer any questions you may have.
Other attractions on the day will be a concourse and we’re looking at booking Dyno Dynamics to supply a rolling road (only suitable for the two wheel drive Audi models). To experience this thrilling treat, there will be a highly reduced charge of £20 per Audi and places for this would be limited. Depending upon the demand will deter whether we can book or not.
If you’re interested in eking out a little more power from your engine, we’ve also got Shark Performance, a revolutionary tuning company who specialize in Audi models, attending on the day. They will be more than happy to give you sound advice on the improvements that could be made to your car and are offering a 20% discount exclusive to those who attend the event, for works carried out on the day or for a future appointment.
Throughout the day, refreshments will be served, Audi merchandise will be on sale and there will the latest Audi models on display in the showroom. Places are limited for this event and on a strictly first come first served basis so to avoid disappointment, please email Jo at Audi before 13th August on jo.everett@heraoperations.com and be sure to inform her of the following points;
1) Your Name & Address?
2) Car Model & Registration?
3) The number of guests you may bring with you?
4) Do you wish to book a Vehicle Health Check?
5) Do you wish to commit £20 to experience the rolling road?
6) Do you wish to enter your car in the Concourse?
Guest VIP passes will then be sent to you as confirmation of your booking attendance along with information on any of your requested bookings.
We look forward to seeing you there.

Excellent, nice to know that the postal service still works after all these years!
Right peeps, I have some more fun news for you.
Ok, for the first time for me, I will be arranging a Sussex Cruise on the 18th September. (Day after Tonbridge Audi Open Day).
It is an open invite for anyone with an Audi. The route is approx 100 miles round trip and will cover a bit of the south coast and some nice places and good roads in between.
Remember this is not a race, just a fun cruise out in the countryside. Route details will be provided on the day and an Event's Disclaimer will also need to be signed on the day by all those taking part.
To confirm your place, reply back here.

It looks like the cruise may not be taking place now anyway. Most folk have got other plans since rearranging their diaries so that they come to the saturday event.
The cruise will arranged again next year though
No worries Andy, you did say some time ago that it might not be possible for you to make it Perhaps next year instead? |

Just wanted to thank all those involved in organising this event.
Karissa and I had a great day, was good to meet you guys, and see some lovely cars
The health check was very interesting - was nice to only have one real fault (play in a lower arm) no engine faults, no fluid needed topping up, and a dry rear diff
Seeing the coupes there really made me regret selling mine all those years ago...and the 90 with 250,000 miles, that looked virtually factory fresh...that was really impressive
Hope to see you all again at the next one!!! |
