LED brake light not working on A6

LED offside brake light on my 06 4.2 quatro was intermittent and has now stopped working permanently. Looks like I need to "spring off" the complete outer cover to gain access. Any tips?? I did think about swopping with nearside to prove the fault is within the light cluster but the plugs are "handed" so not an option. Sad

Hi Homer,

Just a thought, my rear offside light stopped working (intermittently) and was given a good fix - apparently the earth on the rear lights is not good, inside the light unit is a metal rail which runs around to all the bulb holders and does not form a perfect earth, so the garage soldered a wire to the rail, made a small hole in the rear body of the light unit to pass the wire through and secured the other end of the wire to a good earth and I've had no problems since....
