Lowering 1983 80 CL

Hi new on here, just bought an 1983 80 CL with 93k on the clock. ive lowered it alot since having it, but now it seams to want to destroy inner Cv joints? Cant even drive down the drive without it popping the joint out Sad

any ideas?

Presumably the joints are operating beyond their design range. A coat of red paint might help though...

because of the drop, they may need to "reach" further... only thing I can suggest is measure them, and then measure some from a different model. Not sure on the 80 sport ones, if they are the same- they were lowered (about 25mm) as standard; obviously if you've gone more than say 40mm, that's the problem (wheel is further away than designed for, as mentioned)
