As above- not the boot, just the lid. When its opened after rain, a load runs out of the front edge in to the drain channel behind the roof/ rear panel, some does splash into the boot, but thats not the problem. I'm thinking the upper brake light in the lid is the culprit, as the lens is slightly warped. Anyone else had this? Or is it likely to be coming in behind the rear lights? There's no condensation in those, btw. Any thoughts before I wade in with sealant everywhere? Ta folks,,,Dave |

Hi have the same problem with mine mate and i also have come to the conclusin that the brake light is at fault. I am going to remove it at the weekend to see if there is a seal behind it. |

be VERY careful when you remove the 3rd brake light. It will be VERY brittle, if its never been removed then it will be stuck like sh-t to a blanket. Obviously if its leaking it might not be stuck that well. Once you have unbolted it use a Stanley blade to cut around the unit whilst gently levering it. |

Thats pretty much the scenario I thought it would be. It even LOOKS brittle! It's faded but still works; I read somewhere they are hard to get too. Are there screws inside that need the lid liner to be taken off? Cheers Dave |

there are cross head screws that hold the carpet on, once that's off you can see it. |

Hello guys - I have just registered on here and noticed your thread. I have the same problem - and I have no brake light in the boot lid. I suspect that the seal around the full lighting panel at the back has gone. I've removed it and tried to reseal it but to no avail - the lid is full each time it rains. |

Look back through the threads, it's a perennial problem and caused by osmosis with the rubber seals. There is a thread giving a fix if you look guys |
