Hi, i have posted in here as problem is not model specific, (replies tend to be a bit slow in A6 forum)
I know how to set the MPH (1) warning light, but the MPH (2) is set at 85mph and it's driving me nuts, can anyone please tell me how to reset or turn off (please don't say "stay under 85mph")
Many thanks Smile

Eddie,
Thanks for reply, reason for post was no manual with car, (sorry should have explained) i have tried indiscriminately playing with buttons but had no effect,
hopefully some one will know,

Oh, and i have a radar, but thanks anyway !! Very Happy

Pretty sure its the left hand button. Pull out and rotate right or probably left for reducing to zero!

Ignition off - possibly with key removed but cant remember.

From my 1998 A6 manual, hopefully it will work for you too:

Press the test button (button at lower right of rev counter) with the ignition switched off; the display will light up.

Press the test button again for at least 2 seconds: the display will show the speed limit currently set.

Now press and hold the reset button for the onboard computer (underside of wiper stalk) until the crossed out symbol appears.

Hope this is of help

Hi,
Looking for help with resetting the speed warning MHP 2 on my 2006 A6 avant.
I have read many previous forum posts relating to this but the all refer to L/H and R/H buttons on the dash display.
My car does not have these buttons only a ''check'' buton by the side of the MMI disply screen.
I have also read about the 'instrument cluster' setting in the computer options but again this setting option is not there on this car.

Any help would be appreciated as the beeeeep is sending me crazy and it is set at motorway crusing speed so is going off every 2 mins.

Car is a 2006 A6 avant 2.7 TDI Quattro Auto S line.

Thanks in advance
